setting the stage

It’s been very busy this past week getting the classroom ready for the children. Weeding through toys and resources, deciding on furniture placement and neutralizing the space has taken up most of last week. The room looks bare, but it took a lot of work to get there. The walls are primed and ready to receive creations, inspirations and documentation. I never know how a new space will work until the children arrive. We have an initial “set-up”, but ultimately the children will let us know what works and what needs to be changed. As we see how learning centres are used, I’ll post pictures of them individually. In the meantime, we are ready to welcome our inspiring young learners and let our learning take us to exciting places!
